Die Verbindungen zwischen der Hip-Hop- und Drogenindustrie sind hinlänglich bekannt. Im kalifornischen Oakland beispielsweise haben die Möchtegern-Rapper BG und Lil Ant ein Aufnahmestudio angemietet - finanziert durch den Verkauf von Kokain. Das etablierte Hip-Hop-Duo Hoodstarz hingegen wurde beinahe wegen Drogenbesitzes festgenommen und versucht nun, sich möglichst nicht bei den Dealern blicken zu lassen.
